Visitor Parking

Intro - Parking The Moran Parking Center is located at the corner of West Alabama and Graustark Street. The entrance is at 3807 Graustark. Parking is available 24 hours a day. Cost for visitors is $10 per exit (rate may be higher for certain events). Pay machines are located at each exit and accept $1 bills, $5 bills, quarters and credit cards.

Street parking is available on and around campus. Please pay attention to all signs, as street parking is monitored by the City of Houston.

Student Parking

As a UST student, you're encouraged to purchase a UST parking permit at the following costs per semester:

Year Permit: $300
Spring Semester Permit: $150
Summer Semester Permit: $75

A parking permit will allow you to park in the Moran Parking Center and in Student Lot S, located on Branard Street, near Montrose Blvd.

Street parking is also available on and around campus. Please follow all City of Houston parking regulations and signs, as street parking is monitored by the City of Houston.

A parking permit will allow you to park in the Moran Parking Center and in Student Lot S, located on Branard Street, near Montrose Blvd. Lot S requires a parking permit on weekdays from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

After purchasing your permit, your vehicle must be registered with the University Police Department. A printed copy of your receipt must be provided when picking up the permit. Your student ID will be activated for use at the garage, and you’ll be issued a parking hangtag. The hangtag must be visible from your vehicle’s rearview mirror while parked on any UST parking facilities.

For the safety of the University community, UST has adopted the following regulations:

Bicycles must be parked only at bicycle racks
Bicycles may not block pedestrian traffic nor be chained to stairwells or arcade columns
Violators may have their bicycle chained or removed by the UST Police Department*
Riders are expected to dismount when using pedestrian-only walkways
Riding a bicycle on principal pedestrian sidewalks, through building walkways (inside or outside), or other pedestrian paths is not permitted

USTPD bike patrol officers are exempt from these limitations when performing official duties.

*There is a $25 removal fee and the University will not be held responsible for damaged locks

To order a University Key, complete the Key Request form.

To report a key stolen, fill out the Lost Keys form and submit the form to the UST Police Department.

Remember, having a University Key is a privilege and comes with certain responsibilities as outlined below:

I will not attempt to duplicate or knowingly permit the duplication of any key.
I will not loan out key(s) to anyone.
I will report lost or stolen key(s) to the UST Police Department within 24 hours of occurrence.
I will return all key(s) issued to me upon conclusion of employment.
As a faculty/staff member, I understand and agree that failure to return assigned key(s) at time of termination of employment will result in a charge of $100.00 per key charged to me via payroll deduction through the Human Resources Office.
As a student, I understand and agree that upon termination of employment and/or graduation, my academic records will be put on hold for failure to return assigned key(s) or pay the fine of $100.00 for each key not returned to the university.

You are solely responsible for the safekeeping of key(s) issued to you for the full period they are in your custody. Any willful violation or infraction of any part of this agreement shall be considered full and sufficient cause for disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment.
