The Next Level Of Psychology

500X330_ SportsPsychology_NextLevelWith hybrid and remote options available, the Applied Sport and Performance Psychology program at UST highlights the importance of mental health and buffering the impact of stressors, such as burnout, while maximizing human performance.  Students will complete coursework in areas related to individual and group performance, counseling theories, helping relationships, ethical standards, diversity considerations, and research and statistics.  All students will gain hands-on experience in applied settings to prepare them to work with individuals and teams in a variety of performance domains.

This program targets the coursework and some of the applied experience necessary to fulfill the Association for Applied Sport Psychology’s Certification as a Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC).  Students may earn their master’s degree in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology without pursuing the CMPC certification.  Psychology undergraduates may also apply to the BA-MA program, completing their BA and MA at UST in five years.
